Blanche Thompson Page passed away peacefully Thursday, June 12, 2003.
She was born Dec 21, 1916 in Riverdale, UT to Joseph Samuel Thompson and Francis Lillie Curto. She was one of seven children born to the Thompson family. She spent her early life in Roy, UT.
She married Smith Page Aug 18, 1935. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They spent 65 happy years together before his death in 2001.
She spent her life loving and serving her family. One of her many talents was decorating birthday cakes. A birthday never passed that grandma didn't have a birthday cake made especially for that grandchild.
She was a lifelong member of the Clearfield LDS First Ward where she served faithfully and diligently in many callings. She had a special love for the Primary and served in the Primary presidency for many years. She also served in the Young Women and Relief Society programs of the church. She was active in civic affairs and enjoyed being involved with her husband in the Clearfield Kiwanis Club and the Volunteer Fireman's Auxiliary. She was named Clearfield's Mother of the Year in 1981.
She was a storybook grandma, always ready with a kind heart and a helping hand. She brought joy into the lives of all she met.
She is survived by her four children, Ann Jean (Paul) Melling, Sunset, Rodney (Shanna) Page, Kaysville, Joseph (Sally) Page, Layton, Sharlene (Kenneth) Rawlings, Bountiful; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, sisters and one granddaughter.
Services will be Wed. June 18, 2003, 11 a.m. Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield. Friends and family may call Tues. 6-8 p.m. and Wed. 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
