8/10/45

I, Kay Dwight Empey, having been born of goodly parents Dorothy Ella & William Kay on 8/10/45 have returned into the loving arms of my heavenly father. I have discovered a legacy of love in my wife, my children, grandchildren and my friends.

In the past two years I have discovered a new strength in myself while fighting the disease of ALS.

I long for those days that have found me along the riverbanks with my loved ones.

My heart wants to stay with my family but my body has told me that it is time to go to a peaceful rest. Thank you all for helping to create this golden life that I have lead. Remember me around the campfires, the fishing holes, and on the hunts. I will be there with you. Please make sure my garden and my yard are manicured until we meet again.

I thank the Hospice, and especially Sandy and Peggy; those tender strong nurses that kept me from pain.

I reluctantly leave my wife Linda, my children Holli, David, Kelly, Matt, Lindy, and Alli, and will be waiting to be reunited with each of you. To all of my grandchildren, who were the greatest joys of my life, I will miss each of you dearly, but we will see each other again. Here is where I have left my heart.

For all my friends and my family, one last visit on June 30 2003 from 6:008:00p.m., Valley View Funeral Home at 4335 W 4100 S WVC, UT.

Please come to lay me to rest on Tuesday, July 1 at 11:00 a.m. in the Tithing Hill Chapel, 1208 W. 12400 S. Riverton, UT. I will be waiting one hour prior to the service at Tithing Hill Ward for those of you who could not see me on Monday.

I love you all.
