Gone, but not forgotten
Susan was born November 20, 1963 in San Francisco, California, to John A. and Marilyn Doll Rankin.
She passed away at her parent's home on August 25, 2003. She most recently worked as an office manager and a Customer Service Representative in the Salt Lake City area.
She attended Morningside Elementary School, Rowland Hall St. Mark's, Olympus High School and the University of Utah. She studied piano for many years, had been a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir, participated in her beloved Supper Club, and was a longtime member of the Wesley Bell Ringers. She liked to maintain a kitchen garden and enjoyed cooking. She loved children, cats, wolves, Yellowstone Park, camping, fishing and the local mountains. She especially enjoyed family gatherings, particularly during the holidays and getting together with friends.
Susan is survived by her parents; her brother, Robert (wife SueZanne), nieces, (Jamie, Danielle, and Kristy); her brother, Brian (wife Elise), nephew (Owen); her grandmother, Alice Doll; her aunt, Sue (husband, Cliff) Pehl, cousin, Diane (husband, Jeremy) Vacarro. Preceded in death by her cousin, Steven Pehl.
A memorial service will he held to honor Susan's life on Friday, August 29, 2003 at 10 a.m. at the Christ United Methodist Church, 2375 East 3300 South, Salt Lake City. A reception at the church to celebrate Susan's life will follow the services.
