Obituary: James F. Burt

1958 ~ 2003

James Farnow Burt, 45, beloved husband and father, is now free from his emotional pain and has returned to the loving arms of his mother and father. Jim died Friday, September 26, 2003 in Salt Lake City.

He was born May 25, 1958 in Salt Lake City a son of Peter Graham and Shirley Stuart Burt. He married Eileen Espinoza Aug 25, 1978 in Salt Lake City. Jim was educated in the Salt Lake City schools and graduated from Granite High School. He was self employed as a painter and entrepreneur all of his life. He enjoyed golf, softball, and his daughter's soccer. Jim was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Big Cottonwood 16th Ward. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen; daughters, Staci Burt, NC, Leslie Burt, Jordan Burt, both of Salt Lake City; brothers and sisters, Paul (Rosemary) Burt, Phoenix, AZ, Susan (David) Rabiger, West Jordan, Gordon (Marilyn) Burt, Sandy, Shauna (Jim) Curb, Salt Lake City, Laurie (Jon) Evertsen, North Salt Lake; stepsisters, Cindia, Jackie; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father; mother; and stepmother, Helen Read Barrett Burt.

Services will be 12 noon Wed. Oct 1, 2003, Big Cottonwood Stake Center, 1750 E. Spring Ln, Salt Lake City. Friends may call the stake center Tues. 6-8 p.m. and Wed. 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Salt Lake City. E-mail condolences: www.walkerfamilymortuaries.com
