The thing about a lie is that said once, it can be discredited. Said a thousand times it becomes truth, even for the liar.
When choosing a political party, a person better beware he doesn't inherit a lot of lies with his loyalty, especially in this election year. Nothing has ever equaled the lies and deceptions from the hard-core leaders of the left. They are frantic to get back into power and any lie is not too egregious if it brings the desired results.
If we don't hold all politicians accountable, we will have proven the skeptics right. The experiment of government of the people, by the people and for the people will fail.
