Richter7, a Salt Lake-based public relations and advertising agency, announced two staff changes. Melissa Hardy was named public relations account manager. Hardy has been with Richter7 for two years. In her new role, Hardy will focus on clients in the financial, travel and entertainment industries. Aubrey Cichelli has joined Richter7 as a public relations account coordinator. Cichelli is a graduate of Brigham Young University.
Debbie Huddleston has joined Christopherson Travel Group as a corporate account executive on Christopherson's corporate sales team. Huddleston has 16 years of travel industry experience.
Maggie Heile has joined the Salt Lake office of Riester-Robb Advertising and Public Relations as an account executive. Heile has more than 12 years of advertising experience. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
The Salt Lake-based law firm of Workman Nydegger announced five staff changes. David R. Wright was elected to serve as president and managing shareholder of the firm. Wright's practice focuses on complex and intellectual property litigation matters, including trade secret, copyright, patent and trademark cases. Wright is a graduate of the University of Utah and BYU's J. Reuben Clark Law School. R. Parrish Freeman Jr., Peter F. Malen Jr., William R. Richter and L. Rex Sears were promoted to non-equity shareholders. Freeman joined Workman Nydegger in 1999. His practice focuses on intellectual property litigation. Malen's practice is concerned primarily with patent and trademark prosecution. Richter's primary focus is on patent litigation. Sears concentrates his practice in all areas of intellectual property law.
Blain Olsen White Gurr Advertising, a Salt Lake advertising and communications agency, has hired Brian McDonough and Geoff Tice. McDonough was hired as an art director. He is a graduate of BYU. Tice, also a BYU graduate, joined the agency as an account executive.
The Utah Museum of Natural History at the U. announced three staff changes. Ann Hanniball was promoted to associate director of community relations. Hanniball has been on the museum staff for more than 20 years, serving in numerous collections and administrative managerial positions. Janet Frasier was named development director at the museum. Frasier is a graduate of the University of California Los Angeles. At the museum, she will lead the facility's capital campaign for a new building and manage the development and membership team. Becky Menlove was promoted to exhibits manager. She will oversee all of the permanent, temporary and traveling exhibits, and supervise in-house exhibitions. Menlove has been with the museum since 2000.
Forsythe Solutions Group Inc., an Illinois-based technology infrastructure company, announced that its Salt Lake operations will be managed by regional vice president James G. Bindon. Bindon has been with Forsythe for 16 years. Most recently, he served as vice president and manager of the company's central region.
Burgess B. Brier was named vice president of construction operations for CEntry Constructors & Engineers. Brier has more than 30 years of experience in engineering, construction and project management. CEntry Constructors, a subsidiary of The Layton Cos., specializes in engineering and construction in the petroleum, natural gas, mining, power and hazardous waste industries.
Steve Marsden has joined the law firm of Dorsey & Whitney as a partner in the firm's Salt Lake office. Marsden will practice in the trial group and assist business clients with general commercial litigation including securities, broker-dealer matters and intellectual property cases. Marsden is a graduate of the U. and the U. School of Law.
CeriStar Inc., a Salt Lake-based Internet protocol communications service provider, announced that Lewis Chandler has been appointed chief engineer. Chandler has 30 years of experience in the telecommunications engineering and operations industry.
Frank Harris was named director of catering for The Grand America Hotel. Harris has more than 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry. Most recently, he served as director of catering at another Salt Lake area hotel. At The Grand America, Harris will be responsible for all aspects of the catering department, including coordinating menus and ensuring that hotel standards are upheld at client functions.
Overstock.com announced three staff promotions. Russell Martin was promoted to vice president of merchandising and operations. He will manage the buying team, business-to-business sales, customer service, warehouse operations and fraud management. Stormy Simon was promoted to vice president of books, music and videos and offline marketing. She will overseeOverstock.com's television, radio and print advertising. Kamille Twomey will be responsible for Web site design and all Internet, e-mail, affiliate and partner marketing programs.
Park Homes has named Alan Cottle president, effective April 1. Cottle is currently vice president of development for a national real estate developer.
Questar Corp. announced it has appointed Phillip S. Baker Jr. to its board of directors. Baker is president and chief executive officer of Idaho-based Hecla Mining Co. At Hecla, Baker also has served as chief financial officer, chief operating officer and vice president. He is a graduate of the University of Houston.
Bank of American Fork has named Melvin L. Kirkham and Glade Goodliffe to its board of directors. Kirkham has more than 30 years of banking experience in a variety of managerial and executive positions. Goodliffe is a certified public accountant and has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He is a graduate of BYU.
