KSFI has climbed over KSL-AM to reclaim the top radio spot in the latest Arbitron ratings estimates. KUBL rounds out the top three.
This is the third time "FM-100" has been ranked No. 1 in the past five rating books.
"KSFI" received a 7.0 percent audience share among listeners ages 12 and older in the spring 2004 rankings. AM-1160 had 6.9 percent share, making the winning margin one of the lowest ever in the Salt Lake market.
KUBL received a 6.3 percent share, making it one of the market's steadiest stations for the past several years, while KXRK ("X-96") jumped from sixth place to fourth with a 5.3 share this time around.
KDUT (Spanish, FM-102.3) came in at 11th place, with the station more than tripling its audience since last fall, when the frequency aired a rock-music simulcast. With the S.L. market being 9.6 percent Hispanic, it's likely KDUT will soon move into the top 10.
KNRS (AM-570) and KSOP (FM-104.3) improved significantly, and KLO (AM-1430) increased its listenership enough this time around to register a measurement by Arbitron. The talk station now has a 0.7 percent rating.
Among the largest local radio companies, Bonneville International Corp. has a 21.1 percent share of the market, followed by Citadel at 14.6 and Clear Channel at 14.5 percent.
