John Paul Kennedy has been appointed by Gov. Olene Walker to replace 3rd District Judge William Bohling, who is retiring.

The appointment is pending Senate confirmation.

Kennedy, who has an undergraduate degree from Harvard University and got his law degree from Stanford University, has practiced law since 1966. He lives in Salt Lake City and has handled such things as real estate matters, Indian affairs, government issues, corporate topics, labor-management disputes, and trial and appellate litigation.
