An employee at the Copper Hills Youth Center was charged Wednesday in 3rd District Court after several incidents of alleged sexual misconduct with a juvenile.
The 22-year old mental health associate at the center initiated a relationship "outside her general duties of supervision and implementation of treatment plans" with a 17-year-old female resident at the center, court documents say.
The victim provided West Jordan police with a statement verifying that she and the defendant had engaged in sexual activity on various occasions beginning in October 2004 and continuing through January.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of the defendant. She is facing charges of forcible sodomy, a first-degree felony, and six counts of forcible sex abuse, a second-degree felony.
