The Cowboy Grub, a 30-year-old restaurant on Salt Lake's east bench, will close its doors on Saturday.

The restaurant said it can no longer compete in today's environment.

The 160-seat restaurant, featuring rustic decor made from old-west wood, was opened in the early 1970s by Boyd and Arleen Summerhays.
