OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The injury-riddled New Orleans Hornets signed free agent guard Devin Brown on Friday, looking for more depth at shooting guard and small forward.

Brown has also played with Denver, San Antonio and Utah. He was a member of San Antonio's NBA championship team in 2005.

"Devin is a proven NBA player and he'll help strengthen our backcourt with his ability to play both the shooting guard and the small forward positions," Hornets general manager Jeff Bower said. "He will be able to come in and fill some of the void left by the injuries to Bobby Jackson, Peja Stojakovic and David West."
