Beverly (Bev) David 1950 ~ 2006 "How Far Is Heaven" I hate to travel...so if heaven was too far, I went shopping instead. After more than two years trying. I found that even non-smokers have a hard time beating lung cancer. I passed away Friday, Feb. 11, 2006. I was born April 13, 1950 in Salt Lake City to Helen and Don Pease. I grew up in Granger and graduated from Granger High in 1968. Later I graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington, Seattle. I married Harvey Heaps in 1968 and had two beautiful daughters, Stacy Anne and Sherri Lynn. We were later divorced. I married the love of my life, Kirk David, February 14, 1981. We have enjoyed more than 24 years of family, friends, work, and most importantly, two beautiful grandchildren, Kiersten Amanda and Christopher Sean Miller. I worked for more than 37 years in banking operations. I loved to work because I was always blessed to work with "great friends" not just business associates. I took early retirement in April 2005 to spend more time with those I love. I am survived by my husband, Kirk David; my mother, Helen Pease; two daughters, Stacy (Sean) Miller and Sherri Heaps; two grandchildren, Kiersten and Christopher; three brothers, Delmar (Sue) Pease, Raymond Pease, and Ronald (Christie) Pease; one sister, Connie (Merlin) Barnhurst; four sisters-in-law, Joyce Pease, Kaye (Duane) Dixon, Karen (Ned) Timothy, and Kathy (Max) Reading; and 31 nieces and nephews who have at "last count" 50 children. I was preceded in death by my father, Don Pease; brother, Marvin Pease; and sister, Deon Pease. Both my family and I wish to thank Dr. Ann Jeffards, Dr. Reilly and Dr. Elizabeth Prystas and her staff for the excellent care that gave me so much extra time to spend with those I love. My final weeks were improved by the care I received from IHC Hospice team members. A short remembrance of my life will be held Thursday, February 16, 2006, 12 noon at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, prior to interment at Valley View Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. I do love flowers, but instead, please take time and donate to the American Cancer Society so we might make a difference for someone in the future.
