Salt Lake-based Wasatch Gates LLC has acquired the property associated with the Snowbird Canyon Racquet & Fitness Club, 7350 S. Wasatch Blvd., from the Snowbird Corp.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Wasatch Gates said it is "exploring development options" for the 11-acre site.
Snowbird plans to staff and operate the club in its existing capacity through September. Snowbird office space, including Snowbird Sports Education Foundation, Snowbird Human Resources and Central Reservations offices, will be maintained on the site through July 2007.

Snowbird purchased the 106,000-square-foot tennis, swimming and fitness facility in 1990. The club opened in 1974.
