Clyde Simeon Nichols

Clyde Simeon Nichols, age 85, our loved and respected husband, father, and grandfather, passed away October 13, 2007.
He was born April 23, 1922 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ernest R and Caroline Edith George Nichols. On January 18, 1951 Clyde married Faye Richards in the Logan LDS Temple. Clyde graduated from the University of Utah and taught school in the Jordan School District at Riverton and Midvale Jr. High. He served his country during World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps. Clyde and Faye served an LDS Mission to Johannesburg, South Africa. He enjoyed many hobbies including, model airplanes, painting, hunting, and fishing.
Survivors include wife, Faye; children, Bryan (Cynthia), Robert Kim (Lori), Carol (Sumner) Swaner, Gary; 10 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and brothers, George (Maruine), Leslie (Kay). Preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Bob.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2007 at the Fairoaks LDS Ward chapel, 586 East 8400 South, Sandy, Utah. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State Wednesday 6-8 p.m. or Thursday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
