Norma Eva Osguthorpe Jolley 1922 ~ 2007 Norma Eva Osguthorpe Jolley passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 22, 2007, just before her 85th birthday. Born on March 3, 1922 in East Mill Creek, she was the second child of Joseph Clifford Osguthorpe and Mary Mable Smart Osguthorpe. She was a brilliant young woman who graduated from high school at age 16 and from Ricks College at age 18, after which she began her teaching career. As a substitute teacher at age 83, her fellow teachers were amazed at how otherwise unruly students were well behaved for Mrs. Jolley. An accomplished musician playing the cello, piano and organ, she taught orchestra and choir, gave private music lessons, and was either the Ward organist or chorister throughout her life. She loved her full-time mission with her husband on Temple Square because it gave her the opportunity to teach the Gospel to people from around the world. Her love of the Savior made her a natural missionary, which love was felt by all as she lived a life of selfless service. Most of all, she was a wonderful mother. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Dallas William Jolley, her children Mary Norma Watkins, Dallas William Jolley, Jr., Joseph Garn Jolley, and Marjorie Ann Presley, her 19 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and her two sisters, Marjorie Faith Tschanz, and Loa Bonita Painter. Her funeral will be held on March 2nd at 10 a.m., at the LDS chapel at 3400 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, Nevada, and her body will be interred at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada at 12 p.m.
