Tyson Yellowbear, 22, who has been convicted of two felonies and was due to be sentenced on Monday, did not appear in court.
As a result, 3rd District Judge William Barrett issued a $50,000 bench warrant for Yellowbear's arrest.
In April, Yellowbear pleaded guilty to amended counts of criminal homicide by assault and aggravated assault, both third-degree felonies, as part of a plea bargain.
