Jim Sheets has been named assistant administrator of Intermountain Healthcare's LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City.
Sheets will serve as a member of LDS Hospital's administrative leadership team and oversee about half of the hospital services as LDS Hospital transitions from 467 beds and 4,480 employees to 300 beds and 2,100 employees after Intermountain Medical Center opens in Murray this October.
Sheets will help lead 14 major clinical services, including inpatient nursing, obesity management, cancer care, heart services, surgical services and minimally invasive endoscopy services.
Sheets holds a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Utah and master's degrees in business administration and health care administration from the University of Minnesota.
He will begin his new assignment on June 4.
