At Stoneham, Quebec, Greg Bretz won the halfpipe competition for his first World Cup victory Sunday, beating Canadian Brad Martin. Bretz, from Mammoth Lakes, Calif., used a frontside 900, backside 540, air to fakey, cab 7, frontside 7 to top the field. In the women's event, World Cup halfpipe leader Manuela Laura Pesko of Switzerland edged Canada's Sarah Conrad.
