DALLAS (AP) — Aaron Garcia threw nine touchdown passes, leading the New York Dragons to a 77-63 upset victory over the Dallas Desperados on Friday night in the opening round of the Arena Football League playoffs. Garcia was 28-of-39 for 330 yards for the Dragons (9-8), who advanced to face top-seeded Philadelphia (13-3) next Saturday. Terry Moss had 11 catches for 145 yards and three touchdowns, and Kevin Swayne had eight receptions for 77 yards and four scores.

Clint Dolezel finished 35-of-47 for 325 yards and seven touchdowns for Dallas (12-5). Will Pettis had 12 catches for 89 yards and three touchdowns, and added a rushing score, while Anthony Armstrong caught 10 passes for 100 yards and two scores.
