Miss Sanpete County Kayla Barclay was crowned Miss Utah Saturday night during the annual pageant in the Capitol Theatre.
Barclay was presented with the crown by Jill Stevens, outgoing Miss Utah, who had previously served with the Utah National Guard in Afghanistan.
First runner-up was Whitney Merrifield, Miss Pleasant Grove. Second runner-up was Jennifer Gulbrandsen, Miss Wasatch Front. Christina Lowe, Miss Utah Valley University, was named third runner-up, and Tayler Williams, Miss Bear River Valley, was named fourth-runner-up.

Barclay will go on to represent Utah in this year's Miss America Pageant.
