1862: Daniel H. Wells home built at Main and South Temple streets; Salt Lake Theater built at State Street and 100 South.
1872: Deseret National Bank built on 100 South.
1875: ZCMI store built on Main Street; Gardo House built on South Temple.
1882: An office building added at 45 E. 100 South.
1890: Templeton Hotel built at South Temple and Main.
1892: Rocky Mountain Bell Telephone Co. built at 56 S. State.
1918: New Deseret Bank building built.
1925: Federal Reserve Bank built at 80 E. South Temple.
1927: Medical Arts Building built on South Temple.
1928: Salt Lake Theater torn down.
1931: First Security Bank replaces Deseret Bank (same building).
1946: Mountain States Telephone & Telegraph at 98 S. State.
1959: Templeton Hotel razed.
1964: Kennecott Building built at Main and South Temple.
1967: Deseret Plaza goes up on 100 South.
1970: Western Savings & Loan constructed at 41 E. 100 South.
1973: American Savings & Loan added at 63 S. Main.
1974: ZCMI Center built.
1979: Beneficial Towers built on State Street.
1985: Eagle Gate Plaza built on South Temple.
2006: ZCMI Center razed; construction begins on City Creek Project.
