Hall-worthy highlights: Ten-time All-Star, two-time gold-medalist ended productive 19-year career as NBA's all-time assists (15,806) and steals (3,265) record-holder. Only missed 22 games overall and played every game in 17 of 19 seasons. Famous 3-point buzzer shot in 1997 Western Conference Finals lifted Jazz to first of two straight NBA Finals appearances. Named to All-NBA first team in 1994 and '95.

Hall-worthy highlights: Two-time All-Star player is legendary for his longevity after becoming first coach in NBA history to win 1,000 games with one team (Jazz); has also won more than 60 percent of his games coached. Sporting News Coach of the Year in 2004 after leading Jazz to surprising 42-40 record post Stockton-to-Malone. Has fourth-most coaching wins in NBA history.

Michael Jordan

Hall-worthy highlights: Widely regarded as the best basketball player in the game's history, the uber-athletic Air Jordan was a threat on both sides of the court and led Chicago to six NBA titles. Was 14-time All-Star, five-time MVP and made All-Defensive Team nine times. 1985 rookie of the year was a two-time unanimous All-American at North Carolina.

David Robinson

Hall-worthy highlights: The Admiral was admirable in the way he nimbly handled himself around the basket for a big man. Career-long Spur helped San Antonio win Finals twice, was 10-time All-Star, one MVP award. College player of the year at U.S. Naval Academy after leading nation in rebounding and blocks.

C. Vivian Stringer

Career coaching record: 825-280 (.747)

Hall-worthy highlights: In 39 seasons, she has racked up 825 victories during her illustrious career, ranking her third on the all-time college women's basketball career wins lists. Perhaps her greatest achievement is leading three different colleges — Cheyney State, the University of Iowa and Rutgers University — to the NCAA Final Four.
