SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Blaze coach Ernesto Purnsley has announced the signing of former Southern University defensive tackle Jacoby Collins and former UTEP wide receiver David Sutton.

Collins (6-foot-5, 370 pounds) played three seasons for the Jaguars — two seasons as an offensive guard and one as a defensive lineman. After missing the 2007 season, Collins recorded seven tackles, a sack, pass break-up, pass deflection and quarterback hurry in 2008. He played defensive line for the Peoria Pirates of the af2 in 2009.

Sutton (6-6, 225) spent time with the Miami Dolphins and was a practice player for the Utah Blaze in 2008. He had six catches for 80 yards and a TD in two seasons at UTEP.
