SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Blaze announced the signing today of QB Taylor Tharp (6-2, 205, Boise State). QB Michael Affleck (6-3, 230, Utah State) was placed on reassignment.
Tharp spent the 2009 season with the Boise Burn of the af2. He played at Boise State, where he was named second-team All-Western Athletic Conference as the starting quarterback.
The Blaze face the Chicago Rush on Saturday at 7 p.m.
