Jenifer Tomchak has been chosen as president-elect of the Young Lawyers Division of the Utah State Bar for 2010-2011. She is a shareholder with the litigation group in the law firm of Parr Brown Gee & Loveless. She has been a member of the Young Lawyers Division for the past five years.

Greg Jeppesen, a certified public accountant, has been promoted to the position of audit and business advisory services manager for Tanner LC, a professional audit, tax and consulting firm. He has experience in handling financial services and trucking industries, employee benefit plans, nonprofit organizations and forensic auditing.

Nuriche, a Draper-based firm that produces and distributes live whole food products, has hired Douglas Folsom as its chief financial officer. He is a CPA and has 20 years of experience in accounting, finance, auditing, banking and strategic planning. His experience includes supervising financial strategies for an international branding and communications firm and creating business plans and strategies in manufacturing, personal services and Internet retail.

Leland McCullough has been re-elected as chairman of the board of directors for the law firm of Callister Nebeker & McCullough. His practice focuses on such things as taxes and estate and asset protection planning. He has been with the firm since 1983. David York has been re-elected to the law firm's board of directors. His practice focuses on tax and estate planning, business entities, asset protection and charitable organizations and giving. He has been with Callister Nebeker & McCullough since 1997.

A. Scott Anderson, president and chief executive officer of Zions First National Bank, has received the "Distinguished Banker Award" from the Utah Bankers Association. It is the highest honor the organization bestows and is given in recognition of his leadership in the banking industry and outstanding community service. Anderson came to Zions Bank in 1990 and was elected president and CEO in 1998. Under his guidance, the bank's assets have grown from $3.1 billion to more than $20.7 billion.

Matt Packard, president and CEO of Central Bank in Provo, has been elected chairman of the Utah Bankers Association. He is a fifth-generation banker who began in a family-owned bank and worked his way up. He has served on various state and national banking committees and has been a director for numerous companies.

Damon Miller, president of U.S. Bank, was elected to be vice chairman of the Utah Bankers Association. He coordinates his bank's activities across business lines, represents the organization in community services and also serves as division manager of commercial banking for the bank's Utah operation.

Louise Kelly, president and CEO of EnerBank USA, has been elected second vice chairman of the Utah Bankers Association. She is the founding executive of her bank, a subsidiary of CMS Energy Corp. She handles the overall management of the institution, which focuses on unsecured home improvement lending to customers nationwide.

New board members for the Utah Bankers Association are David Alexander, president of First Bank in Morgan; Richard Beard, president and CEO for Bank of American Fork; Matthew Browning, president of Target Bank in Salt Lake City; Eric Schmutz, president and CEO for State Bank of Southern Utah in Cedar City; and Greg Winegardner, the Utah region president for Wells Fargo.

Heather O'Dell has been selected to be store manager for Maurices, a national specialty store for customers with a 20-something attitude, located in West Valley City. She will handle day-to-day operations, sales performance, visual presentation, personnel recruitment and training.

Jay Shaffer has been hired as vice president of consumer experience and corporate marketing for Alliance Health Networks. He oversees a team of four marketing communication and design professionals.

Daniel Stevenson has joined the law firm of Holland & Hart in its Salt Lake City office. His practice focuses on structuring, negotiating and documenting technology transactions for companies ranging from start-up businesses to big corporations.

The American Fence Association has announced that Lyle Buchanan will serve as the 2010 president. He is associated with Buchanan Access Systems LLC in Sandy and has been involved with the association for 13 years.

Jon Weisberg of Weisberg Communications in Salt Lake City has been elected as a new member of the board of directors for the Public Relations Boutiques International. The organization is a worldwide network of public relations firms.

Thomas Taylor has joined the law firm of Durham Jones & Pinegar as a shareholder. His practice concentrates on such things as securities, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and complex loan transactions.

David Carr has been elected to the board of directors of Solution X Global, a provider of website and social networking tools.
