SALT LAKE CITY — The Drug Enforcement Administration is joining with the National Association of Attorneys General and other government partners for the first nationwide prescription drug "Take-Back" initiative in an attempt to prevent increased pill abuse and theft.

"Prescription drug abuse is a huge problem in Utah," Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff said in a press release.

The DEA will collect expired and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction, at various sites across the state on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
