TORONTO — Toronto football fans' indifference toward the Buffalo Bills playing home games in the Great White North might well be thawing.
A winning record, a potent offense and a couple of dramatic comeback victories have organizers sensing a growing buzz favoring Buffalo for the first time since the Bills-In-Toronto series was launched in 2008.
Series GM Silvio D'Addario says Buffalo's game Sunday against the Washington Redskins (3-3) is a near sellout. And he expects a majority of fans to be rooting for the Bills as a result of their surprising 4-2 start.
That would be a switch from Buffalo's three previous regular-season trips north. Bills players this week have criticized fans attending games at the downtown Rogers Centre for lacking passion and having mixed loyalties.
