GUADALAJARA, Mexico — Solonei Silva of Brazil won the men's marathon at the Pan American Games on Sunday, the final day of the competition.

The Brazilian won the race in 2 hours, 16 minutes, 37 seconds. Colombian teammates Diego Colorado and Juan Cardona took silver and bronze.

There were only two other finals on Day 16 of the games. Puerto Rico will face Mexico for the men's basketball gold medal and the final rounds of the rugby sevens competition was still to come.

The United States leads the medals table with 92 gold and 234 overall, followed by Cuba with 58 gold and 136 overall. The Americans can still add a bronze in men's basketball.
