MOSCOW — Several thousand nationalists and neo-Nazis are marching in Moscow to call for ethnic Russians to "take back" Russia.
Resentment has grown among some Russians over Muslim migrants from Russia's Caucasus region and the money the Kremlin sends to those restive regions.
The protesters chanted "Russia for Russians" and "Migrants today, occupiers tomorrow" as they marched Friday through a working-class neighborhood on the outskirts of the capital.
The so-called Russian March has been held every year since 2005 on a new national holiday created to replace celebrations of the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution.
Xenophobic groups have drawn moral support from the nationalism encouraged under Vladimir Putin's rule as part of the Kremlin's attempts to rebuild a strong Russian state.
