Stephen B. Harrison, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, died peacefully February 6, 2011 at age 93.The youngest of seven boys, he was born December 28, 1917 in Logan, Utah to Pearl Bullen and Antrim Byrd Harrison. He attended Logan High School and went on to attend Utah State and received a bachelor's degree in finance. While at Utah State he was captain of the basketball team and a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. It was during his college years that he met the love of his life, Florence Leone Olsen. And on May 16, 1941 they were married in Alhambra, California. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple in 1943 and together they had three daughters. He served in the Army during World War II as a finance and pay clerk from September 14, 1942 to February 1946 when he received an Honorable Discharge. Following his service to our country, Stephen had a long and distinguished career in Utah banking from 1946 until his retirement in 1982. He was an active member of the LDS Church Foothill First Ward where he served in many capacities. Steve was a devoted husband and father who loved fishing, working on genealogy, and traveling with his wife. He loved to reminisce about their cross country trip, Alaskan cruise and much of his time spent in the Army. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, three daughters: Patricia H. Fessenden (Ron), Midvale; Jane L. Harrison (Salt Lake City); and Jill Tilton (Rick) Lake Stevens, Washington; eight grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and granddaughter Carrie Lynn Carroll, The family would like to thank the staff in ICU at LDS hospital for their loving and respectful care. Funeral Services will be held at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East So. Temple on Friday, February 11th at 12:00 noon. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral services at 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Logan cemetery on Saturday, February 12th at 2:00 p.m.
