SAO PAULO — IndyCar's Sao Paulo 300 is under way a day after being postponed because of heavy rain on the streets of South America's biggest city.

Pole winner Will Power of Australia led the way after the first corner Monday, followed by Ryan Briscoe and Takuma Sato at the 2.5-mile, 11-turn Anhembi temporary street circuit.

All cars had to pit right after the restart because it started raining again as the flag dropped.

The race restarted with 14 of the 75 laps already completed. It was expected to end at the two-hour limit.
