Funeral services for Elder Marion D. Hanks, emeritus General Authority and former member of the presidency of the Seventy, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Salt Lake Holladay South Stake Center.
Elder Hanks, who was suffering from Alzheimer's, died Friday, a week after suffering stroke. He served for nearly 40 years as a General Authority before being granted emeritus status in 1992.
Visitations will be held Friday from 6-8 p.m., and Saturday prior to the funeral, from 9-10:30 a.m., both at the Salt Lake Holladay South Stake Center at 4917 S. Viewmont Street (2200 East). Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City.
