Born Dec 24, 1936 in Delta, UT to Leland Duane & Nelle Riding Callister. Graduated from Delta High School in 1955. Served in the National Guard, attended college at BYU, Northern Pioneer College & Delta Tech Center. On July 2, 1965 he married Barbara Barton, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He worked as a Supervisor for the Contel Telephone Company. Transferred from Delta to Washington State, Arizona & Tremonton UT. Retiring in 1991 after 25 yrs. Moved to Panguitch UT to work for South Central Communications for 10 yrs. Retiring in 2005. A member of the LDS Church. Survived by wife Barbara of Delta; children, Thomas Clark "Shim" and (Traci) Callister, Oak City, UT; Monica and (Clarke) Christensen, Oak City, UT; Angela Dustin, Richfield, UT; 11 grandchildren; 3 1/2 great-grandchildren; siblings Maureen Grizzle, Taylorsville, UT; Gary (Char) Callister, Hatch UT; Scott (Barbara) Callister, Cedar City,UT. Cathy (John) Pace, Enoch UT; Duane Callister, Gunnison UT; Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carolyn Bishop and baby sister Nancy Lee. Funeral Services Tuesday, May 29, 2012, 11:00 a.m. Delta 3rd Ward. Delta UT. Viewing Monday from 6-8 pm and Tues 9:30-10:30 am at the Delta 3rd Ward. Interment in the Delta Cemetery.
