Dorothy TheobaldJune 22, 1927 ~ Aug 21, 2012Loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, Dorothy Carol Henderson Theobald passed away peacefully at her home in Orem, Utah on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 with her loving husband at her side. Dorothy was born June 22, 1927 to Warren Henderson and Artemisia Henrie in Delta, Utah. She married Paul H. Theobald on December 15, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple.Dorothy was a faithful member of The Church of Latter-day Saints and held many callings including Relief Society president, ward organist, and teacher. After her mother's untimely death, Dorothy served with her father during his last six months as Mission President of the Northern States Mission. Dorothy and Paul also served missions to Madrid, Spain; and Laie, Hawaii.Dorothy attended BYU before marrying Paul, her Delta High sweetheart. Worked as a secretary for Delta City, Millard County, and Delta High School, and bookkeeper for Paul's numerous ventures through their 64 years together.Dorothy is survived by her husband; their son, Michael (Shauna) Theobald; sister, Jonel (Ted) Nielsen. Grandchildren: Jonathan (Jenni), Jae (Beth), Jenna (Cory) Broadbent, and Tyler (Jessie) Theobald; her 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews; all of whom Grandma/Auntie Dot loved 'more than the whole, wide world.' She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Bill Henderson.The family gives special thanks to Hearts for Hospice and to many friends and neighbors who helped Paul care for Dorothy in her final years.Two services held Friday, August 24: 1) Orem -- Sunset Heights Stake Center, 1260 S 400 W. Viewing, 9:45-10:45 AM; Funeral, 11 AM-noon. 2) Delta -- Nickle Mortuary, 190 S Center St. Viewing, 3:15-3:45 PM; Funeral, 3:45-4:20 PM. Burial Delta City Cemetery.
