James Randall Steadman1949-2013Our beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away on May 20, 2013 in Murray of heart complications with his family by his side. He was born Nov. 23, 1949 in Murray, UT to Bill and Nelda Steadman. Randy was a graduate of Jordan High School and later continued his education at Utah State University. He received his Doctorate of Dentistry at University of Pacific in San Francisco, CA. He married Rebecca Burdick on June 26, 1971 in Payson, UT. Randy practiced dentistry in Draper, UT for 30 years. He was able to share his talents and services with his community and others around the world. His humanitarian efforts included visits to Honduras, Peru, Indonesia, Russia and China. Randy had many talents and hobbies including art, traveling, golfing, tennis, hiking, water/snow skiing and most of all, spending time with his precious grandchildren. He cherished his friendships, both new and lifelong. Randy maintained his childhood associations throughout the years and spent his last 6 years in Gilbert, AZ where he continued to build amazing friendships.He is survived by his wife Rebecca, 3 daughters, Erika (Eric) Ross, Tiffany (Eric) Kerbs, Ashlyn (Jon) Ellsworth; 5 grandchildren, Logan, Sydnee, Kolton, Skylen and Zander; Also by his mother, Nelda and 3 brothers, Allen, Kyle and Kary. Preceded in death by his father, Bill.Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 11am in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Chapel, 10600 S. 1950 East, Sandy, UT with a visitation from 9:30-10:45am and interment to follow.
