SALT LAKE CITY — "Meet the Mormons" was the 16th biggest movie at the box office over the weekend with $568,409 after finishing 10th over the previous week.

In 10 days, the film about six LDS families has now made $4,520,644, making it the 37th biggest documentary of all-time.

"Meet the Mormons" made $3,952,235 in its first week in theaters, Oct. 10 through Thursday. Its per-screen average of $12,468 was No. 1 among the top 30 movies in America that week.

The film expanded from 317 theaters to 333 this weekend but saw a 77 percent drop at the box office from the previous weekend, with a per-screen average of $1,707.
