SALT LAKE CITY — This summer has been a historic one for cricket in Utah.

The third season of the Intermountain Cricket League marks the first time that seven Utah cricket teams (playing in a round robin-format) have competed at three different venues. This is up from two venues and four teams in 2012 and five teams in 2013.

The league kicked off May 4 with teams playing each Sunday throughout the summer. The first round robin ended June 29 before the league took a month off to accommodate the large number of Muslims in the league who fast during the month of Ramadan (where normal eating habits are suspended). The second round robin commenced Aug. 3 and recently wrapped up with the last matches concluding on Sept. 21.

The teams have been ranked throughout the season based on win-loss record and most of the matches played during the round-robin stages were nail-biters, as the competition was extremely close. Detailed score sheets and standings can be found at http://www.IntermountainCricketLeague.com.
