Sadie Robertson, the daughter of Duck Commander CEO and "Duck Dynasty" star Willie Robertson, made her first appearance on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" Monday night.

Willie Robertson and his wife, Korie Robertson, attended the live show to watch their 17-year-old daughter perform the cha-cha with professional dancer Mark Ballas.

Ballas and judge Julianne Hough made reference to the Robertson family's Christian values after Sadie Robertson surprised the judges with her first performance.

"You are the entire package," Hough told Sadie Robertson. "The thing that I would work on though, is being more grounded and down and dirty a little bit."

Hough then paused and said, "Wait, I just saw her dad. Not dirty, dirty, just down and grounded."

In an interview after their performance, Sadie Robertson and Ballas explained that Willie Robertson will be approving each of Sadie's costumes as well as the dance moves.

"We got daddy approval," Ballas said. "Daddy's going to see all the costumes before we go out."

Sadie Robertson, who runs a YouTube series in which she discusses inspirational Bible verses, stayed true to her faith by tweeting a Bible verse Monday night encouraging her followers to vote for her.

Prior to leaving for Los Angeles, where the show is filmed, Sadie Robertson posted a picture on Instagram of a devotional book she packed with her and said, "God comes with me no matter where I go."
