The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced changes Friday to the Presiding Bishopric.

Bishop Gérald Caussé, formerly the first counselor in the Presiding Bishopric, will succeed Elder Gary E. Stevenson as the presiding bishop. Elder Stevenson was sustained as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles on Oct. 3 during the 185th Semiannual General Conference.

Bishop Dean M. Davies, formerly the second counselor in the Presiding Bishopric, will be the first counselor, and Elder W. Christopher Waddell, of the Seventy, will be the second counselor.
