I'm as giddy as a school girl hyped up on candy! – Shannon Abbott

PAYSON — Shannon Abbott released her mom-inspired rendition of "Hallelujah" just two months ago. Not only has she since collaborated with other artists, posted many more videos on her YouTube channel and had her "Hallelujah" video seen in total over 35 million times, she also just released her first album in time for Christmas.

Available on iTunes and Amazon, Abbott's "Remember the Reason" includes "O Holy Night," "Oh Come All Ye Faithful," "Silent Night," "What Child Is This" and "Joy to the World."

Abbott funded the album through a GoFundMe campaign back in October.

"I'm as giddy as a school girl hyped up on candy!" said Abbott after the album released on Friday. "What an amazing feeling you guys! Thank you for making this dream a reality!!"
