In an April 24 article on Forbes.com, Joshua Steimle, a Forbes contributor, a marketing professional and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, highlighted lessons he says entrepreneurs and businesses can learn from the LDS Church's digital marketing strategy.

"As a member of this religious community and someone who makes his living from consulting with businesses regarding digital marketing, I have been more than curious to learn from the campaigns the LDS Church has engaged in to get their message out," Steimle wrote.

In the article, Steimle detailed three areas where the LDS Church has successfully used digital marketing: search engine optimization, content marketing and social media.

Steimle notes that Google has indexed 11.4 million Web pages on lds.org, and that lds.org links rank in the top five Google results for searches such as "Bible," "Jesus Christ" and "Holy Ghost."
