A new video from the United Kingdom Mormon Newsroom highlights the activities of Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, as he visited Scotland and England in June.
Elder Holland's trip included an address to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Foreign Affairs, calling for government, charities and religious groups to work together in times of disaster. He also shared counsel with members and missionaries of the church in the UK. The video includes a clip of his talk to a group of young adults, counseling them to stand up for truth, even if they feel like they are alone.
“Don't say 'I'm the only one here.' Just say, ‘I’m here … and you can count on me,'" Elder Holland said at the devotional.
The video also highlights a children's choir from Kenya who performed for Elder Holland. The group sang uplifting Christian songs that "called for racial and religious tolerance," according to the video.
"Elder Holland ... was able to touch many lives inside and outside of the Mormon faith, and as a result, thousands recommitted themselves to live the gospel to the best of their ability and reach out to those in need throughout the world," according to the video.
