SALT LAKE CITY — Attorney General Sean Reyes has hired Tyler Green as the state's new solicitor general.

Green is chief deputy counsel for litigation for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. In that job, he has worked with state solicitors general on national issues and on a team that filed hundreds of court briefs over the past several years.

Before joining the U.S. Chamber, he worked in the appellate section of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Washington, D.C. He also served as a law clerk for the U.S. Supreme Court and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver.

A native Utahn, Green attended Jordan High School and earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Utah. He replaces Bridget Romano, who Reyes recently named chief civil deputy in the attorney general's office.
