SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Transit Authority is warning TRAX riders to expect delays on both the Red and Blue lines Sunday, as crews remove two unused sections of track at 4100 South and 4700 South that were previously used for freight transport. Construction will begin after regular service service has ended on Saturday.
Blue Line trains will not run between Meadowbrook and Fashion Place West stations during construction, which should wrap up by midday Sunday. TRAX riders traveling through the area that morning will need to transfer to the Red Line. Saturday service will not be impacted.
Riders at the Meadowbrook Station will be able to board and exit on the regular side.
However, all TRAX trains at the Murray North and Murray Central stations will board and exit on the west side of the platform.
At the Fashion Place West Station, riders on the Blue Line should board and exit from the center track, and riders on the Red Line will be able to board and exit on the regular side.
