Six-foot, 5-inch identical twins Jonathan Scott and Drew Scott, who star in HGTV's “The Property Brothers,” will be the keynote speakers at the RootsTech family history conference in Salt Lake City on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, according to a news release.
The Scott brothers, who have created their own production company Scott Brothers Entertainment, were born in Vancouver, Canada, lived on a ranch and fixed up their first house when they were 17 years old to help support their acting pursuits. On the show, Drew is the real estate agent and Jonathan is the contractor, according to the news release.
At RootsTech, the brothers are scheduled to talk about their family ties, the can-do attitudes it fostered, their positive outlooks, childhoods, their careers, and their shared passions for buying and renovating property and for the entertainment industry, according to the news release.
Other keynote speakers at RootsTech will include Wiseman Group founder Liz Wiseman at 2017 Innovator Summit at RootsTech on Wednesday, Feb. 8. LeVar Burton, of "Reading Rainbow" and "Roots," will be the keynote speaker at Friday, Feb. 10. TLC's "Cake Boss" chef Buddy Valastro will be a keynote speaker and cake decorating judge on Saturday, Feb. 11.
BYU football coach Kalani Sitake, former NFL player Vai Sikahema and popular LDS youth speaker Hank Smith will be the featured guest speakers at RootsTech's Family Discover Day on Saturday, Feb. 11. The Family Discovery Day is targeted at members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
