It has been a good start to the season for most of the former BYU Cougars playing professional basketball overseas.
While some are performing at an elite level, all 10 have made contributions playing for their respective teams.
Here is a look at where the former Cougars are playing around the world and how they have performed so far.
Charles Abouo, Denain (France-ProB)
While his minutes have been less than consistent in his first season with Denain, Abouo has still been playing well for a 5-3 team. One of his best games came in a 75-71 loss to Provence Basket when he finished with a team-high 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the floor, including 3 for 4 from beyond the arc. He added five rebounds, two steals and an assist in 29 minutes.
In eight games, he is averaging 9.4 points on 47.4 percent shooting from beyond the arc to go along with 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 18.4 minutes.
Agustin Ambrosino, Gandia (Spain-LEB Silver)
Ambrosino is having a fine start to his season with Gandia. One of his most impressive showings came in an 83-72 win over Tarragona when he totaled 14 points, six rebounds, two assists and a pair of steals in 35 minutes.
On the season, he has played 11 games and is averaging 8.9 points and 3.9 rebounds in 25.2 minutes.
Rashaun Broadus, Lietuvos Rytas (Lithuania-LKL)
Broadus has been an important piece to one of the top teams in Lithuania. One of his best games recently came in a 104-60 win over Siauliai when he recorded 15 points on 3-of-7 shooting from 3-point land to go along with seven assists, five rebounds and three steals in 25 minutes.
On the season, he is averaging 7.3 points on 46.9 percent shooting from distance with 3.2 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 10 games in the Lithuanian League.
In six EuroCup games, he is averaging 3.2 points and 2.2 assists in 15.7 minutes.
Matt Carlino, Vanoli Cremona (Italy-Serie A)
After a month in Spain, Carlino made the transition to suit up for Vanoli Cremona in Italy's top league. His best showing since changing teams came in a 73-71 loss to Pesaro when he registered six points, two rebounds and an assist in 14 minutes.
In five games in Spain, he averaged 14.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 steals in 26 minutes.
In two games in Italy, he is averaging 4.5 points, 2.0 assists and 1.5 rebounds in 12 minutes.
Brandon Davies, Monaco (France-ProA)
Davies was having a very solid season for one of the top teams in France before he was sidelines with an injury in an 88-64 win over Antibes nearly a month ago. He has yet to return to the lineup.
In eight French league games, he is averaging 9.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 19.6 minutes.
In four Basketball Champions League games, he is averaging 9.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.3 assists in 20 minutes.
Chase Fischer, Scafati (Italy-Serie A2)
Fischer has put up some big offensive numbers since returning to the Scafati lineup after missing three games. One of his best games came in a 75-68 loss to Tortona when he totaled 25 points, three assists, two rebounds and a steal in 38 minutes.
In seven games, he is averaging 15.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 steals in 33.1 minutes.
Jimmer Fredette, Shanghai Sharks (China-CBA)
Fredette has been consistently great for the Sharks through the first part of the CBA season. One of his best showings of late came in a 111-98 win over Qingdao when he totaled 44 points on 18-for-27 shooting from the floor, including 6 for 9 from beyond the arc. He added six rebounds and six assists in 38 minutes.
On the season, he has played 14 games and is averaging 38.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 2.4 steals in 40.4 minutes.
Tyler Haws, Anwil (Poland-TBL)
Haws has struggled to find his outside shot, but is still contributing in his first season in Poland. One of his most impressive games came in a 93-45 win over Koszalin when he managed 13 points on 5-for-7 shooting from the floor while adding five rebounds and a steal in 25 minutes.
On the season, he has appeared in eight games and is averaging 8.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 21.8 minutes.
Trent Plaisted, Phoenix Hagen (Germany-BBL)
Plaisted continues to put up good numbers on a struggling team. One of his best recent games came in a 98-76 loss to the Walter Tigers when he finished with 16 points on 7-for-9 shooting from the floor. He added a team-high nine rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals in 31 minutes
In 11 games, he is averaging 10.7 points on 51.6 percent shooting with 7.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.0 blocks in 26.1 minutes.
Jonathan Tavernari, Mens Sana (Italy-Serie A2)
Tavernari is getting big minutes playing in Siena. One of his best recent performances came in a 73-68 loss to Ferentino when he had 12 points on 4-for-10 shooting from the floor, including 2 for 5 from beyond the arc while adding five rebounds in 32 minutes.
On the season, he has played in 10 games and is averaging 8.1 points and 4.1 rebounds in 29 minutes.
