Hailey and Brad Devine are LDS YouTubers and international videographers. In honor of Brad’s birthday on Thursday, Hailey Devine uploaded two videos she made for Brad for his 20th and 21st birthdays while he was serving a mission in Chile for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

On July 28, 2010, she wrote, "There is a boy that is very dear to me serving his LDS mission in Chile for two years. He's been gone for nine months, and this is his first birthday away from home! We are unable to talk on the phone/Skype on his birthday, so I wanted to send him something creative and special. Although we were unable to be together, I wanted to celebrate with him — on opposite ends of the globe! I went through all the video footage that he has sent home through the mail, and came up with this idea.”

Hailey planned a birthday party at home in Brad’s honor and left a chair open so he could be composited into the video. Frame by frame she cut him out of a video clip he sent home so he could “join the party.”

The video includes birthday wishes from his friends and family members, food, decorations and clips of the group that Hailey had altered to include Brad as a missionary.

For his second birthday away, Hailey created a video of herself writing letters and sending them to him in Chile.

“I knew that I wanted to do something similar for his second birthday that we had to be apart! So this is what I came up with,” read the description below the video.

The couple, who have made YouTube videos together since 2015, have 70,000 subscribers and over 2.5 million views on their videos.
