Former Utah State wide receiver Hunter Sharp reached an injury settlement and was waived by the Philadelphia Eagles on Wednesday.

The rookie went undrafted in April and signed a free-agent deal with the Eagles, but he missed both of Philadelphia's first two preseason games. Sharp injured his hamstring, according to The News Journal.

By reaching a settlement, Sharp can seek to sign with an organization once he is healthy.

Sharp is the sixth undrafted free agent with Utah ties to be cut so far in training camp. Others included Utah's Tom Hackett and Jason Whittingham, BYU's Ryker Mathews and Manoa Pikula and Utah State's Torrey Green.

More local cuts will come. NFL rosters must be cut down to 75 players by Aug. 30 and down to 53 by Sept. 3.

There are currently 71 players with Utah ties either on active rosters or on injured reserve.
