The Utah Grizzlies defeated the Orlando Solar Bears, 2-0, on Sunday afternoon at Amway Center.

Utah finished its trip to Florida with a 2-1 record and improved to 4-1-1-0 in its last six contests.

Grizzlies goaltender Ryan Faragher stopped all 39 shots that he saw, including 28 after the Grizzlies had taken a 2-0 lead.

The Grizzlies took a 1-0 lead 1:29 into the first period as Travis Howe (two) scored in his return to the lineup as he roofed a shot from the left angle on a feed from Austen Brassard. C.J. Eick also added an assist.

Utah made it 2-0, 1:19 into the second period on a power play as Colin Martin (19) turned and slid the puck past Orlando goaltender Ryan Massa as he worked the puck back and forth with Cam Reid. Phil Pietroniro picked up an assist as well.

The Grizzlies held Orlando off the board in the third period and without a shot during a 1:48 five-on-three power play.

Utah drew three third-period power plays to alleviate some of the pressure that had built up in its zone as the Solar Bears continued to pile up the shots.
