Breakfast just went sour, and it's not because of spoiled milk.
Mashable reported Monday that Pop-Tarts will soon launch its breakfast on-the-go snack with three new flavors based on Jolly Rancher candy: green apple, cherry, and watermelon.
Pop-Tarts first made the announcement in a tweet on Monday afternoon.
If this sounds like candy for breakfast, you’re at least half right, according to Mashable.
“Despite the fact that watermelon-flavored Jolly Rancher is definitively the best Jolly Rancher flavor that exists (don't @ me), turning any flavor into a Pop-Tart just seems like a very bad idea. It feels a little like they are trying to get us to eat candy for breakfast,” Mashable explained.
Social media had its own reaction to the news.

"As it turns out, much like actual fireworks, they’re relatively enjoyable and kind of fun for while," writer Adam Campbell-Schmitt wrote, according to USA Today. "The Firework Oreos are basically your classic cream-filled cookie. There’s no real taste difference, just a slight gritty texture from the popping candies in the frosting although not as grainy as the sugar-laced Peeps Oreos from this Easter."
